A close-up of the rosette. It is quite nice and a bargain at seventeen bucks. It is inlayed into the top. I made a circle cutting jig for my router to create the channel. I am proud of the fit.

This is the visible side of the top. It has a pre-made rosette.

The sound board

This record of my guitar started a bit late with a lot of work completed. I am starting with the sound board mostly done.

This is the inside of the top or sound board of the guitar. It is made from two pieces of bookmatched Engelmann spruce. You can see the bracing pattern. The braces strengthen the top but still allow it to vibrate. This top is almost done. It still needs its sound hole patch. The top is resting on a solara. It is a building platform that I made for constructing the guitar. I spent about two weeks making tooling before I could actually beging cutting wood for the guitar itself.
