Finger Board
I have profiled the neck to a shape that is comfortable to my hand. I am worried that it will need a lot more sanding.(I strongly dislike sanding)
Finger Board
I have profiled the fingerboard to the soundhole here. The fretboard is made from ebony. It is incredibly dense and a bit oily. It is also a bit brittle and tough to shape.

I have test fit the tuning machines. They are not permanently installed, I am just getting a feel for how they will look.
Finger board
Here, the pre-slotted fretboard has been added. This was quite a lot of work mostly involving sanding. I had to be very careful to position the fretboard correctly and I used dowels to do so.
Binding
Now you can see the binding scheme after everything is installed and trimmed.
Binding
I use glue and lots of tape to secure the binding into the ledge. I have to do this to all four “corners” of the guitar.
